On the 31st of March 2022, at
the Isle of Man Sports Awards Ramsey Crookall presented a Scholarship for
2022/2023 to Rio Hall, a promising young 23-year-old equestrian from
Peel.
Rio, a former KWC and Ramsey
Grammer student, recently dominated the 14-strong British Eventing novice
restricted championship in 2021, taking first and third in the Corinthian Cup
results with her two mares, Gorsehill Jewel and Georgie Girl.
Rio said, “I cannot thank Ramsey
Crookall & Co. and Isle of Man Sport enough for their support this year. I
feel privileged to be able to represent Ramsey Crookall & Co. and the Isle
of Man within my sport. I am hugely excited for the 2022 Eventing season. I
have an exciting string of horses, both young and established. Keeping
everything crossed that we can bring home some good results at both National
and International level this year!”
Isle of Man Sports Aid (IoMSA)
has played an important role in developing the Island's elite sporting stars
for more than two decades. Previous recipients have gone on to win World,
Commonwealth and Olympic titles. This year's support covers around a dozen
sports and will help those representing the Isle of Man at the Commonwealth
Games in Birmingham this summer, the highest level an athlete can represent the
Island.
Ramsey Crookall & Co are
incredibly proud to be associated with Rio, and we are looking forward to
following her progress throughout the year starting at the Kelsall Hill
International Horse Trials 23-24 April 2022.
