Ramsey Crookall & Co has announced the appointment of Mark Wilkinson as Business Development Manager.
Mark, who was born in the UK but moved to the Isle of Man as a child, joins the business bringing 37 years’ experience in a variety of financial services roles. After leaving King William’s College, he began his career at R L Stott & Co in 1981 and following the take-over by Standard Bank Stockbrokers, part of the Standard Bank Group of South Africa, he held a senior position in their dealing room servicing private and institutional clients.
In 1993 Mark joined City & International Securities, a company specialising in trading South African stocks and emerging market debt for European institutions. Three years later he became a founding member of Capital International Limited, where he spent 21 years with responsibility for their South African operation, working between Douglas and Cape Town. This was followed by a brief spell at Maitland Group before taking up his new post at Ramsey Crookall & Co.
A member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, Mark also holds the CISI Diploma in Investment Advice, has extensive knowledge of corporate governance and is a member of the Institute of Directors. When work commitments allow Mark’s interests include golf, riding, water skiing, cricket, rugby league, eating out and especially spending time with his family.

It gives me an opportunity to sell and develop products and services that I truly believe in and I look forward to working with the team as we explore new markets in the future.”
